You can manage the status of progress for each work order from once it is created through completion.

Upon saving a work order line item, the first status to appear is Not Assigned as shown below.

 

You can assign the work order to an employee or subcontractor as shown here.

Upon assigning the work order, the status will change to Assigned as shown below.

 

You can schedule the work order to an employee as shown here.

Upon assigning the work order, the status will change to Scheduled as shown below.

 

You can update the progress of the work order to an employee as shown here.

Upon updating the progress of the work order, the status will change to In Progress or Completed as shown below.
