One of our users were having a problem opening Adobe PDF documents when clicking on them in Internet Explorer.  It was randomly stopping documents from printing.

This turned out to be a setting in Adobe Reader preferences (Edit –> Preferences) under Internet category. We just simply untagged the “Allow fast web view” and the PDF loaded up in the browser without the error:

This seemed to work OK on the affected client but after reading into this a bit further on the web I noticed that it did not work of all the clients but there was another method that seemed to work as well:

After un-tagging the option for “Display PDF in browser” and clicking on OK the PDF loaded up without any errors but it would launch Adobe Reader and display the PDF file in there rather than in the browser.
